I haven't had anything but doubt for decades; it may be more accurate to call it straight up disbelief. But everything you say rings true, Nathan, and as I reach the last decades of my life, my concern for my fellow creatures and the planet we share is at an all-time high. Too many people have gone too far in the wrong direction. I don't give a damn about retribution; I just wish we could love one another.

I love your commentaries so much. This one may be my favorite though (well, until you post another one). The description of everyone going back to the upper room and locking the door is a great image. Though Empire was allowed in, no one left to find Jesus. Thank you for your writing

You are the source of the future of Christianity. Without this kind of telling we are all doomed. ps: dramatics aside I had an evangelical christian mother who died 23 years ago and now a 79 Trump supporting Christian Nationalist father that I wish had your understanding and wisdom. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for having the words that resonate with me, finally.

As a former validly ordained Catholic priest, I hereby use my little crumb of apostolic succession to proclaim this homily as divinely inspired.

The reality of God, and the truth of the testimony of Jesus Christ is OBVIOUS!

Like it’s right in front of everyone’s faces all day everyday and nobody notices. It’s maddening.

The reason you doubt and are confused is bc you are prioritizing the word of men over the word of God. You cannot come to know God through the words of men. Superior knowledge can only come from a superior source (aka the Bible specifically the words in RED), Jesus is the key to all.

We live in the sorting of the harvest. The mountain in prophecy is symbolic. You have to raise your perspective to a higher level to understand it.

Your words about Gods law and those who cry and obsess over it’s perfect obedience do interest me quite a bit.

A wise man might note that God only commanded we follow 10 laws, and they were given in love. They are not a burden but a blessing. A parent commands a child doesn’t play in the middle of the street in the same way.

Man commands we follow thousands of laws. These laws forcibly impose the will of whatever state/system is in power upon all men. Most are not given in love, but greed.

Do you get the joke yet?

I welcome any and all questions or comments btw. In fact I’d be delighted to engage in any intellectual debate, the monotony of censorship gets boring. And boredom always gets me into trouble 😂
